Privacy Policy
The short version. PaymentFlow keeps everything on your phone. It has no accounts and no servers, and it makes no network requests. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere, because the app never sends anything at all.
What the app stores
Everything you enter is saved in a private database file inside the app's own storage on your device:
- Bill and invoice names, categories, and notes
- Due dates, amounts, and repeat schedules
- Payment records, including amounts, dates, and notes
- The names you give your payment accounts (for example “Chase Checking”)
- Your appearance preference (match phone, night, or day)
This data is used only to show you your own bills. It is not used for anything else, and it is not shared with anyone.
What the app does not do
- It does not send your data anywhere. The app makes no network requests, so your bills, amounts, and payment history never leave your device.
- It has no user accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, and no profile.
- It has no analytics, tracking, or advertising. There are no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app.
- It does not collect device identifiers, location, contacts, or any other personal information.
- It does not sell or share data, because it never has access to data to sell or share.
Android permissions
The app asks Android for two permissions:
- Vibration — the short confirmation buzz when you record a payment.
- Internet access — declared by the app framework that every Expo / React Native app is built on, rather than by anything this app does. The app makes no network requests, so this permission is never used.
It asks for nothing that can reach your data. The app does not access your files, photos, contacts, calendar, location, camera, or microphone, and it does not collect device identifiers.
Retention and deletion
Your data stays on your device until you remove it. You can delete individual bills and payment records inside the app. Uninstalling the app deletes its storage, including the database, and that data cannot be recovered by us — we never had a copy of it.
Because the app keeps no server-side copy and transmits nothing, there is no data for us to delete on your behalf and no data to request.
Backups
If your device is configured to back up app data to your own Google account, the operating system may include this app's data in that backup. That backup is controlled by you and by Google's terms, not by this app. To prevent it, turn off backup for this app in your device settings.
Children's privacy
The app is a general-purpose bill tracker and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change — for example, if a future version adds optional cloud backup or notifications that require a server — this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the effective date above will change. The current version of this policy always applies to the current version of the app.
